Kgaswe Primary School started in 1986 in a garage in BPC Village. It opened with five pupils and a mom doing the teaching. It served the needs of expatriate employees’ children who had no English Medium school to attend. It was not long before the school outgrew the garage and move to its present site near the Power Station. The present administration block was all the school consisted of. The school grew steadily from then on and ran under the administration of the Botswana Power Corporation. In 1995 the school was formed into a non-profit company controlled by a Board of Governors. This was done with the view of the school totally independent. In 2006 the first High School students were registered in Form 1. The High School moved to its present premises in January 2010.

Kgaswe School, together with the parents, strives to equip the individual child with the necessary skills and values to become a confident, compassionate international citizen, who in an effective thinker and life long learner, able to contribute meaningfully to society.

The school has an obligation to provide within its available resources the highest standard of international education both within and beyond the overall guidelines established by the ministerial authorities of the Government of Botswana.

The teachers at Kgaswe School are carefully selected, not only for academic expertise but for personal qualities and experience. All our teachers are commited to the schooland ensure all pupils are given the opportunities and guidance to reach their own potential.

Entrance Requirements & Fees

All pupils are required to sit tests in English and Mathematics, according to the class they have applied for, prior to acceptance to the school. These tests are designed to give the School an accurate assessment of a child's capabilities and to determine what level of attainment has been reached. Fees are relative to other independent schools in Botswana and are revised annually. Pupils are also required to pay a once off developement fee on first admission to the school (fee structures and payment options are available).
